Feel Good Friday - Music and Talk for the Soul with YolanDa Brown

The ISM and the Society of Authors (SoA) hosted a special Feel Good Friday joint event featuring music and discussion with award-winning musician, broadcaster and philanthropist YolanDa Brown, as well as ISM CEO Deborah Annetts and SoA Contracts Advisor Theo Jones.

Hear from YolanDa about her inspirational journey, music – including reggae, jazz and soul – and energetic campaign work for music and young people, including projects such as the Drake YolanDa Award, created to support emerging artists across the UK on their musical journey.

You’ll also hear from Theo Jones and Deborah Annetts about the ISM and the SoA’s joint campaign work as members of the Creators’ Rights Alliance – including Fair Terms for Creators, #MakeMusicWork and the SoA’s work on fair pay.

This was a joint event with the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM) and the Society of Authors. Both organisations are members of the Creators’ Rights Alliance (CRA) – a united voice for creators – made up of major organisations representing creators in the UK.
